One must also take particular subjects that are a requirement in the nursing profession. The subjects are physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics on top of at least a language.

One cannot be a registered as a nurse unless he or she has a diploma (hospital), a bachelor degree (nursing) or an associate degree (nursing). The bachelor degree in nursing usually takes four years before its completion. For those opting to study towards attaining the associate degree (nursing), they will be required to study for three years on the maximum in any technical colleges offering nursing as a course. On the other hand, those who prefer a hospital diploma will be required to train as they work in the hospital under qualified nurses’ supervision.
