Are You Plagued By Whiteheads?

OK. So you try to clean your face as often as you can (when you spend all day doing homework and sleeping this can be very hard) and you know that you don’t eat that much junk food (a few burgers a week doesn’t constitute junk food does it?) so why do those spots keep coming back? Well it may be something to do with your skin hygiene, it may be something to do with your diet and it may also be something to do with your age!

Unfortunately, puberty isn’t kind to most of us when it comes to acne. Because of the changes in our bodies and the hormonal imbalances, we are prone to spots. Not just any old spots either, big outbreaks of them that include being plagued by whiteheads. This makes us feel self conscious, worried ad even stressed out about them (which doesn’t help as stress can trigger off even more spots). When we turn a certain age (usually around 12 or 13) our facial skin begins to produce a lot more oil. This in turn catches in our pores and combine that with the dirt, makes for a really juicy spot.

So what can you do to help? Keep your face as clean as possible. When you are a teenager its best to wash your face at least twice a day to make sure that no dirt can get in your pores and create a spot. If you want to know how to remove blackheads then try changing your normal face wash for a deep pore scrub. This will dig out all the dirt from your blackheads and help to clear them away slowly but surely. Spots are part of being a teenager so do your best to reduce the risk of you getting too many.
