The benefits of a ceiling mount speakers is the type of placement are two fold. One, with speakers mounted out of the way, they can give you entertainment in any room of the house, without taking up extra space and being a potential eye sore. A lot of movies today are recorded in a surround sound of some type, and with the proper placement of speakers, you can pick up on many sounds that you would miss otherwise.
The two main types of mounts for a ceiling speaker are going to be either using a mounting bracket of some type, or a flush mount type that points straight down. The bracket mounted type of in wall ceiling speakers have the advantage of being more versatile in their placement, since they can be pointed in almost any desired direction. However, flush mounted are less noticeable and cleaner to install.
Places to find the best in ceiling speakers is going to depend on which type you decide on. Generally, bracket mounted speakers, or the type that can be used, are found in department stores. It is best to look for the flush mount type at a home theater system retailer.
