Cupcake stands are traditionally used for big parties and weddings, but they also have lots of home use.  The coolest thing about having these on hand is they work for so many things other than cupcakes, which we’ll also cover in this post.  If you needed another reason why you should buy, rather than rent, a cupcake stand aside from saving money this article should help you decide.

Cupcake StandsA cupcake stand will obviously work really well for cupcakes at home.  This goes for birthday parties, special events, or just because you feel like baking something.  What if you feel like baking brownies or cookies?  Guess what?  Those fit on there too!  So do muffins, chips, and healthy veggies.  These work any time that you have finger food that you want people to serve themselves.

What else can you do with a cupcake stand?  I have a small one in my entry way that works as a catch all for car keys, mail, loose change, and whatever else we bring in to the house.  You can also use them to display small knick-knacks or collectibles.  Kitchen utensils can be stored and organized in the larger stands.  Jewelry hangs great on the wire cupcake stands.

Many stands will break down and lay completely flat so that they can easily be stored away out of sight if you don’t have a use for it right now.  Even many of the large towers will do this, so you will never be without one.  You can store them in a cabinet, drawer, or even in the garage if you don’t have much space inside.

Finding alternative uses for them will really help you get the most bang for your buck as possible.  It only costs a few dollars more to buy them as it does to rent, so by the time that you get a second use out of it you’ve saved money.  That’s smart economics to me!
