When in the market for computer furniture for home or business offices, an often-neglected element is the presence of a desktop printer stand. Typically, printers are often stuffed wherever they fit, often filling empty counter space. Sometimes, these printers are tucked away in a small area present in most “all in one” computer desks, which is often either too small or does not meet the needs of the device in some way. These pieces of furniture often come cheap and provide additional counter space. They also create a much greater sense of openness and clarity among your existing furniture, and can add greatly to the aesthetic appeal of an otherwise dull office setting.
With the desktop printer stand being such an overlooked part of home offices, printers are often tucked away in areas where they are not easily accessible. Often times these areas are just barely large enough for the printer itself, and they do not allow any convenient location for finished papers to be pushed out by the machine. When printing large documents, pages can be spit out onto the floor, or even remain in the printer, only to be re-fed back into the machine, thereby ruining an entire print job. In a home office setting, not much printing is done, so this is often overlooked, however for a very low price this entire situation could be handled in a way that is not only productive, but also visually appealing and very inexpensive.
All in all, there are many vendors, both online and in brick and mortar locations that provide these sorts of printer stands. When in the market for new office furniture, a desktop printer stand should be considered just as soon as a chair and a desk are considered. For many people, an office is a place where thousands of hours can be spent each and every year, and it makes little sense to stall creativity and productivity simply because a desktop printer stand would be an “unnecessary” cost. Documentation is an important part of business, and while it might not take the best stand to get the job done, there is no reason to go entirely without one.
