Rubies Make Good Engagement Rings

Everyone knows that diamonds are a womens favorite, at least that’s what we are constantly told. But what if your women wants something different for an engagement ring? If you are shopping in all the regular stores you are probably fed up being show diamond rings and want to some different but aren’t entirely sure what that exactly is. Have you thought about ruby engagement rings? You probably have but maybe you are unsure, it can be tough to pick something all by yourself when it for sure an important purpose.

ruby engagement ringThat’s why so many men get there partner to help them pick the ring, its her that’s going to have to wear it after all so it might be nice if she has a say in which one you buy. But if you are a bit old fashioned in your ideas you might want to do it all in your own and surprise her. Maybe you just know she will prefer it that way. Well if you are going on your own you are going to have to get it straight in you head what you are looking for before you go shopping so you are not swayed by a salesperson that is going to try and sell you the biggest most important gem in the shop, usually a diamond. But we don’t want a diamond, we want something else, most probably a ruby ring if I have anything to do with it.

For me rubies are the best of all worlds. You get a beautiful, expensive gemstone, and you don’t have to follow the crowd and buy what they are getting. That doesn’t mean you have to stay away from diamonds entirely, just that you want to make a ruby the centrepiece of the ring. Rubies stand for passion and love, making them the perfect choice for an engagement ring. And your partner, who doesn’t like to blend into the crowd will be impressed that you chose something original.
