Fast food restaurants are begging for your business and are willing to cut you a deal whenever you are willing to walk through their doors. No, I’m not talking about anything shady or underhanded here. The same offer applies to everyone else too.

fast food couponsFast food chains aggressively seek to build their market shares by offering printable free item coupons, and buy-one-get-one-free coupons to get you into their restaurants all the time. The offers are so frequent in fact that you can find multiple free offers from almost any fast food chain of your choice.

Much like the loss-leader specials we are all used to in the grocery store, fast food chains use printable fast food coupons for free items in order to lure you into the store. Their strategy is two-fold from a marketing standpoint. The first part of the strategy is all about perceived value. Nothing is more valuable than something for nothing is it? They want to build the perception through repetition that their food is the best, quickest, and has the highest value relative to the money than any other fast food chain out there.

Why? Repeat loyal customers are everything in a $110 billion dollar a year, exceptionally competitive industry.

Second, they get you on the up-sell. Would like fries and a drink with that? Well, sure, the meal is free, so I can afford to splurge on the soda and fries too right? It’s still a good value anyway right? Well, not exactly, but sort of. The profit margins are high enough on the rest of your order that you did not exactly make them any money on this visit, but more than likely paid for your “free” sandwich or meal. Suddenly your meal has become discounted rather than free.

You can actually get free meals if you look around for free item coupons from multiple fast food chains and then rotate when you redeem them. As long as you avoid the up-sell items, you can eat for free. Even if you must give in and get the fries and drink, your fast food meal will certainly be cheap. Printable fast food coupons make eating out a whole lot cheaper. The reality is that if you are paying full price, you are paying too much.

By the way, we mentioned grocery loss-leader sales earlier in this article. You can usually get free grocery items as well when you combine a loss-leader sale with grocery coupons in the mail, printable grocery coupons, or e-grocery coupons. The savings are tops and will get you either totally free merchandise of deeply discounted food. It seems that fast food joints have taken a tip from the grocery marketers with their strategy, but the end result is free food for you i more ways than one!
