Technology to Repel Snakes

Electronic snake repellers are a relatively new bit of technology that has been tried and tested by many individuals, especially in Australia where the companies that produce these are built.  The idea with these is that snakes are sensitive to local vibrations, which is something that can be seen anytime someone mows the lawn, and you always see any snakes in the area take off to try and get away.  With the snake repellers the idea is to place them intermittently around the property line, and they set off an electronic vibration that makes the area unappealing to snakes, causing them to seek out a more hospitable environment.

There is some controversy surrounding these items.  Many people argue that the science isn’t there to back up the claims, while on many forums, there are multiple individuals who swear by them.  Sometimes it can be hard to cut through all the back and forth and get the real deal on how exactly these work, or if they do at all.  While there are arguments over the science of how snakes and vibrations interact (or don’t), there are enough first hand accounts of these working for individuals that they are still definitely worth considering.

While there is always the chance that some individuals have been hired to post false reviews, there are enough reviews across different forums that it seems unlikely all of them are made up – especially since the wording is heavily different for each.  Electronic snake repellers have still yet to catch on widespread, but bit by bit they do seem to be gaining ground with more individuals.  If you’re living in an area that has a high population of snakes, or an outright infestation, these might be worth considering for people who have watched every other option fail.
