There are many reason that baby blankets a great asset. One of the best reason is because they are made to snuggle your new born or infant. You can wrap the baby in many ways to keep them warm. You can wrap them in layers or in a cacoon type. Or my favorite it the burrito. It is a very tight wrap, But remember you must not wrap your little one too tight.
It also is a great blanket if you just need something lite to put on a baby or toddler to keep the chill off. You can put it over the window in the car or over a carseat to keep the sun of the baby. I still to this day use them. You can find them at all kinds of stores and the hospital usually gives you some when they send you and the baby home.
Also when you baby grows up u can use them as something to set hot dishes on so you dont ruin your counter tops or tables.
I also find that you can use them as pot holders and decorative things at like the holidays to make little things napkins that are cloth. You can make soft pillow cases as well by sewing them togather as well. Or do one of your favorite neddle points one and give it as a gift.
A Baby blanket can be bought in any of your retail stores and are usually cheap. I wouldnt know what to do with out the ones i had for my son. Also they make really good spit rags as well. The are bigger than a wash cloth and smaller than a towel. In conclusion I say even if you dont have a baby they always make greats ways to make home made gifts out of them an are less expensive then some things you could use.
You also can get personalized baby blankets to give it a special touch. A personalized baby blanket can have special colors and a personalised baby blanket can have their name on it too. If you want to do it yourself, making knitted baby blankets could be an option for you. Personalised baby blankets will be remembered by them for many years to come..
